JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is commemorating 48 years since the killing of anti-apartheid activist, Steve Biko.
Biko died on 12 September 1977 after being tortured by Special Branch police.
In the build-up to this year's commemoration, the NPA moved to reopen an inquest into the circumstances surrounding his killing.
Biko's son, Hlumelo discussed the reopening of the inquest with eNCA.
