SA and Eswatini mobilise Joint Action Plan

BADPLAAS - South Africa and Eswatini are taking the Joint Action Plan to address porous borders to the next level.

This as the country’s border posts continue to be hubs for organised crime which poses serious national and regional security implications.

On Thursday the BMA co-chaired the Eswatini–South Africa steering committee meeting on border management with a key focus on the Joint Action Plan. 

The plan according to the BMA commits all entities operating at the port of entry between South Africa and Eswatini to develop 'immediate, medium and long-term measures to improve the facilitation and management of goods, travellers and vehicles across the border'.
