JOHANNESBURG - The South African Council of Churches has expressed deep concern about the allegations against the Police Minister and top officers following a media briefing by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi over the weekend.
The council says the claims suggest a troubling collapse of trust within law enforcement.
They have called for swift action, impartial investigations, and accountability at the highest level.
The council's Reverend Mzwandile Molo said the trust in the police has been lost.
