JOHANNESBURG - The South African Medical Research Council says it will showcase new and exciting research at the upcoming South African AIDS Conference.

The conference began on Monday at Emperor's Palace.
Around eight million people in South Africa have HIV and around six million are on HIV medication: more than any other country in the world.
The SA Medical Research Council Director, Professor Fareed Abdullah discussed this with eNCA.
