Sabotage ruled out for worsening power cuts

PRETORIA - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has dismissed claims that sabotage is the cause of the rising stages of blackouts by Eskom.

Instead boiler tube leaks are being blamed for the situation.

Ramokgopa briefed the media on Sunday saying nine units went down over the span of two days due to the leaks.

But he says the power utility is working to get the units up and running as soon as possible.

eNCA reporter Bafedile Moerane sheds some light on the matter in the video above.
