JOHANNESBURG - South African Medical Association (SAMA) has welcomed report by section 59 panel which exposed medical schemes.
The report accused the schemes of racial discrimination against black healthcare service providers.

A section 59 panel handed their report on the allegations to Health Minister, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, earlier this week.
The panel found that between 2012 and 2019 medical aid scheme systems which monitor fraud, waste and abuse prejudiced black health practitioners.
The Council for Medical Schemes commissioned the investigation.
While the report may shock, SAMA chairperson Dr Mvuyisi Mzukwa said they were not surprised.
