SAMRC warns of disease outbreaks after floods

JOHANNESBURG - The SA Medical Research Council is warning of serious health risks after floods in parts of the country.

The council says the floods increase the risk of malaria, cholera and other serious diseases.

Over 30 people were killed in Mpumalanga and Limpopo. 

Homes and key infrastructure were also destroyed.
