CAPE TOWN - The Pan South African Language Board has raised concerns over the exclusion of languages at the SAPS Ad hoc committee and the Madlanga commission.
On Wednesday, committee chair Soviet Lekganyane urged MP's to speak only English “for the benefit of all South Africans”, a move opposed by ANC MPs.
Panslb Board Chair, Professor Lolie Makhubu-Badenhorst says it is important not to assume that everyone understand English.

She says as board she is concerned that the English continues to dominate the country at the "expense of disadvantaging our communities and society."

"[This would see them] postpone to another date or alternatively look for another venue," she said.
