STELLENBOSCH - The President has authorised a commission of inquiry to examine allegations of police collusion in crime.
And Parliament is conducting its own investigations into the claims made by KZN police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
The accusations are extensive and reach as high as Police Minister Senzo Mchunu. He's been placed on special leave.
But many are wary that the probes will, like previous inquiries, have limited consequences.
