GQEBERHA - The Gqeberha CBD like many across South Africa has also has become a ghost town with a number of dilapidated or abandoned buildings.
DA member of the provincial legislature Rietif Ondendaal says most of these buildings are owned by slumlords and contribute to the rise in crime in the city.

The municipality refuses to take the blame, arguing that different government departments play a role in resolving matters like these.
