SA's Corruption Emergency | Vincent Smith's trial postponed
JOHANNESBURG - The NPA’s Investigating Directorate says the corruption trial of former ANC MP Vincent Smith will continue without Angelo Agrizzi.
Agrizzi, the former Bosasa COO, is alleged to have bribed Smith for protection from scrutiny over tenders awarded to the facilities management company.
Smith made a short appearance in the High Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
The case was postponed to the 19th of April next year for a pre-trial.
Meanwhile, Smith will also be on trial for failing to disclose an R28-million taxable income earned by his company Euroblitz.
