CAPE TOWN - Parliament says it is concerned about growing threats and intimidation directed at Members of Parliament.

The latest complaints surfaced during the work of the Ad Hoc Committee, but similar incidents have been reported by Members of Scopa and other committees.
Parliament says several MPs have opened cases, and it expects the South African Police Service to investigate and assess these threats.
The Secretary to Parliament will engage the National Police Commissioner where necessary.
