Senzo Meyiwa's family losing hope they will get justice
JOHANNESBURG - Senzo Meyiwa's family says the justice system continues to let them down.
Five men stand accused of killing the Bafana Bafana captain in 2014.
Court proceedings resumed on Monday with a meeting between Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba and counsel for the state and the accused.
In the gallery, Senzo Meyiwa's family traveled from KwaZulu Natal to hear this week's testimony from the state's fifth witness Zandie Khumalo.
Khumalo was in the house when Meyiwa was shot and killed but another development has stalled the trial once again.
The presiding officer, Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela is feeling unwell.
Meyiwa's family says they've been waiting more than eight years for this trial and this latest delay is frustrating.
The trial is expected to continue from 17 July and will be set for the remainder of the third term.
