Serial rapist suspect linked to many more cases

JOHANNESBURG - An alleged serial rapist linked to eight cases in Gauteng, Celokuhle Mkhwanazi, has abandoned his bail application.

His co-accused, Mandla Ndlovu, intends to continue with his bail application.

The suspects are said to be part of a syndicate operating across Johannesburg, Midrand, and Germiston.

Some of the accomplices pretended to be Uber drivers who drove victims to pre-arranged locations where they would be assaulted and robbed.

Their matter has been postponed to 6 November.
