Several cases of sabotage at Eskom, says Cele

JOHANNESBURG - Police Minister Bheki Cele says several instances of sabotage at Eskom were brought to their attention.

Cele says some of the sabotage included stones being painted black and made to look like coal and transported to power stations.

This would result in catastrophic failure of the machinery used to grind coal at power stations.  

"Then as we go on, the matters of sabotage on that meeting came. There were a few examples made, one example was that coal moved from where it was supposed to be, to the station, and on the way the route will be changed. I am sure it has come up in these investigations, these bogus coal farms," he said.
