PRETORIA – Suspended deputy national police commissioner, Shadrack Sibiya insists he did not know about Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala's alleged links to the Blue Lights saga and the Tembisa scandal.
Sibiya is testifying for a fourth day before the Madlanga Commission, where his relationship with Matlala has come under scrutiny.

During the proceedings, evidence leader questioned how Sibiya as a senior police official could claim ignorance about a man whose name had been widely reported on.
But Sibiya rejected the suggestion that he should have been aware of the allegations.
“It’s an unreasonable question. It’s an unfair one. I am not expected to know every case that happens in the country," Sibiya responded.
He told the commission he was not familiar with the details of the blue lights matter.
“I cannot be asked a question on the basis that it was widely known. I did not know,” Sibiya said.
The commission continues.
