SIU denies reports that 'Mkhize was cleared' in Digital Vibes scandal
JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit is slamming recent reports on the Digital Vibes matter.
In a publication that's been making the rounds, former Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize is said to have been cleared of wrongdoing in the controversial Digital Vibes scandal.
The SIU has denied the reports, saying it has not cleared anyone.
The unit says the reports are misleading.
In April, the Special Investigating Unit won an appeal to have more people investigated.
The 150-million irregular contract landed the former health minister in trouble.
It was alleged the millions were paid to his close allies. Parliament has since cleared Zweli Mkhize of contravening its code of ethics.
