JOHANNESBURG - Motorists can expect lower fuel prices from Wednesday, although these decreases will be dampened by the higher fuel levy.

According to the latest Central Energy Fund data, the price of petrol could decline by around 20 cents per litre.

Diesel is set for a more substantial drop of approximately 50 cents a litre.

Illuminating Paraffin could come down by over 55 cents.

The potential drops are driven by softer international oil prices, and a relatively stable rand-dollar exchange rate.
