SONA 2024 | In conversation with NCOP chair Amos Masondo

CAPE TOWN - Parliament's house rules are not aimed at specific parties.

According to the new rules, no member will be allowed to interrupt the President.

NCOP chair Amos Masondo said the rules are there to ensure that the decorum of Parliament is maintained.

"The rules are really meant to regulate the function of Parliament to ensure that there's a sense of respect, a sense of dignity, a sense of we're serious of doing the work of Parliament."
