JOHANNESBURG - Eskom says stage six power cuts will continue into the weekend.
The utility says it has had to replenish emergency reserves.
This is due to the increase in demand because of the cold weather.
Eskom says the failure of generating units has also not helped.
It says lower stages of rolling blackouts are possible from next week, once reserves have been replenished.
This is despite Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa this week saying the utility would be able to handle the winter demand.
