CAPE TOWN - Parliament's Joint Standing Committee on the Financial Management has dismissed claims of governance issues in the rebuilding of the National Assembly.
It comes after the DA called for an urgent investigation into the handling of the project.
The party claimed there has been no proof of a lawful transfer of the allocated billions of rands.
It said there is no record of Parliament taking over the project following 2022 fire.
But the Standing Committee has hit back, saying it's public knowledge that the project had to be transferred from Public Works to Parliament.
