Thabo Bester | Justice minister confirms arrests

JOHANNESBURG - Justice Minister Ronald Lamola says a murder investigation is underway in relation to the Thabo Bester case.

Rapist and murderer Bester was re-arrested on Friday night in Tanzania, along with Nandipha Magudumana and a Mozambican accomplice.

Lamola said, "Minister of police and correctional service can confirm that escapee, well known as, Thabo Bester with Dr. Nandipha with a Mozambique national have been arrested in Tanzania, late last night."

"On the 26 of March the national police commissioner General Fannie Masemola ordered the prioritisation of the investigation into the Mangaung prison escape case."
