JOHANNESBURG - It's the final Voter Registration Weekend and Home Affairs has extended its operating hours to allow people to collect their IDs.
However, Home Affairs Deputy Director General of Operations, Thulani Mavuso, said over 300,000 of them are yet to be collected countrywide.
"IDs are enablers for voters to cast their vote. All those who have applied for their documents must come collect them. About 16000 were collected yesterday; we continue today,” Mavuso said.
