Transnet clears backlog at Cape Town port

CAPE TOWN - Transnet says it has cleared the backlog at the Cape Town Container Terminal. 

The company managed to get equipment to the harbour to improve operations.

This is good news for the deciduous fruit industry which harvests from November to March.

But, the Durban and Richards Bay harbours are still struggling with backlogs.

Transnet is apologising to its customers for the delays.
