Transnet derailment | Recovery operations suspended

JOHANNESBURG - Transnet says recovery operations will remain suspended on the Northern Corridor.

It follows violent extortion efforts by the Ulundi Business Forum.

The utility declared a Force Majeure following a derailment this week.

A train carrying export coal en route to Richards Bay went off the tracks near Ulundi.

The company says that the route has been significantly disrupted.
