WASHINGTON - President Cyril Ramaphosa is positive that the relationship between South Africa and United States can be repaired.
Ramaphosa had a sit-down with US President Donald Trump and his administration in the White House on Wednesday.
The two countries have not been seeing eye-to-eye for the past few months after Trump and his allies, including South African born billionaire Elon Musk accused SA of white genocide and grabbing land from white farmers.

Trump presented what he believed was 'proof' of white genocide in South Africa. These included videos and printed articles that were presented to the South African delegation in Washington on Wednesday.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and members present stood firm, denying all claims that white South Africans were targets of a genocide.
After the tough conversation, Ramaphosa said there is a chance that the trade and investment relationship between the two countries can be salvaged.
He said Trump is willing to listen and work with South Africa.
