TSHWANE - The Speaker of Tshwane could face a motion of no confidence.

A special council meeting will be held on Monday, to consider the motion of no confidence against Mncedi Ndzwanana.

The multi-party coalition demanded the meeting after what they describe, as unlawful actions of the speaker of council in adjourning a meeting on Wednesday.

They are accusing Ndzwanana of protecting his coalition partners in the ANC and EFF.

Ndzwanana postponed the election of a new mayor to seek a legal opinion, on the status of a Cope councillor accused of having two ID numbers.
