Tshwane MMC says water treatment plant tested negative for cholera

Government has dispatched a task team to investigate the cholera outbreak.

PRETORIA - The Cholera death toll has now risen to 15 in Hammanskraal.

The metro's Utilities MMC, Themba Fosi, says the Temba water treatment plant which supplies water to Hammanskraal has tested negative for cholera contamination.

"The Temba water treatment plant is safe, it has tested negative for the cholera remnants and we have gone as far as testing other areas including our reservoirs to make sure that proper due diligence is done and as I can tell you that they all tested negative
