UCT students claim wrongful eviction

CAPE TOWN - A group of UCT students are living in a parking lot after what they claim was a wrongful eviction.

The postgraduate students say they were wrongfully and forcibly evicted from university accommodation.

However, the University of Cape Town says they have been occupying the residence unlawfully for two to three years.

It is understood there was an agreement to vacate the premises by the 20th of December.
