UPDATE | 21 killed on N2 highway near Pongola

PONGOLA - 21 people have been killed in a horror crash on the N2 highway in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Most of the deceased are believed to be children.

The accident, happened between Pongola and Itshelejuba.

The crash reportedly involved and a truck and a bakkie that was transporting school pupils.

Emergency services are on the scene and the cause of the crash is unknown as this stage.
