One organisation has been forced to stop vital programmes for children, leaving families raising children living with HIV in limbo.
Last month, US President Donald Trump permanently terminated USAID funding of HIV/Aids organisations across the world.
Trump's decision has left millions of people in dozens of countries without access to medication and treatment for HIV and other serious diseases.
The Crystal Fountain organisation in Soweto, is a lifeline for parents raising children living with HIV, and it's already reeling from the cuts.
The organisation has already been forced to lay off staff, straining its ability to provide critical services.
Experts have warned that the ripple effects could be devastating.
