US President's 'reciprocal tariffs' kick in world wide

JOHANNESBURG - The United States (US) President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs have kicked in.

Countries without a trade deal face steep duties. South Africa has been hit with 30% tariffs.

The Trade and Industry Department admits it has been difficult to come up with a deal.

It's even offered to buy liquefied natural gas from the United States, and to cooperate on shale gas and rare mineral exploration.
