Law enforcement officers came under attack after responding to gunfire.
Three people were injured when the police vehicle crashed, and the responding officers were stoned by bystanders, with one of their vehicles being vandalised.
The City has confirmed that assets were stolen, additional vehicles damaged, and a R20,000 reward has now been offered for information.
