SOWETO - Residents in Diepkloof, Soweto suspended their protest after two people were killed and one was seriously injured.
Community leader, Sifiso Mbele, says residents will go back to the drawing board to find ways to approach government regarding their concerns.
Chaos broke out this morning after Diepkloof hostel residents took to the streets to protest housing issues.
They shut down the busy Diepkloof interchange and brought traffic to a standstill.
Two people died and another was seriously injured after a truck tried passing through a barricade.
