JOHANNESBURG - Polling stations will open on Wednesday at 7am for the local government elections.
But before that, those who applied for special votes will get to make their mark.
The IEC in the Free State will provide an update on its readiness to facilitate special votes.
The province has over 1.5 million registered voters, with over 132,000 applications approved for special votes.
The commission will also outline preparations at the province's 1604 voting stations.
