Over 900,000 pupils are sitting for their National Senior Certificate exam this year.

 

JOHANNESBURG - Fifty-three matric pupils in Gauteng could not sit for their final exams this week due to service delivery protests.

The Department of Basic Education's Director-General, Mathanzima Mweli confirmed this during a media briefing on Sunday.

Over 900,000 pupils are sitting for their National Senior Certificate exam this year.
