JOHANNESBURG - Bird flu can be transmitted to humans according to virologist Bonolo Mashishi.

Mashishi says those showing symptoms should seek help within 14 days.

For most, frustrations are frying over a shortage of eggs due to the culling of almost a third of the poultry population.
