JOHANNESBURG - While Diepsloot burns and the demand grows for more visible policing, the Gauteng Community Safety MEC Faith Mazibuko and Police Commissioner Elias Mawela launched a drone programme.

They hope the programme be effective in the fight against crime.

The drone pilots and the 6 thousand deployed crime wardens are part of the measures announced by Premier Panyaza Lesufi to deal with soaring crime in the province.
