WATCH | Kupelo's team fake qualifications claims he is not at fault

EAST LONDON - In 2016, the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) uncovered 52 forged foreign qualifications and 17 misrepresented national qualifications in the public service a trend that continues to raise serious concerns about the integrity of government employment.

The use of fake qualifications to secure high-paying public sector jobs not only undermines credibility but also affects the quality of services delivered to citizens.

Currently, Eastern Cape Health Department spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo is under scrutiny, facing allegations of misrepresenting his academic credentials. 

His lawyer has since admitted that Kupelo does not have a Matric certificate.
