The Director-General in the KwaZulu-Natal premier’s office says allegations that she is corrupt are malicious and intended to discredit her.

JOHANNESBURG - The Director-General in the KwaZulu-Natal premier’s office says allegations that she is corrupt are malicious and intended to discredit her.

Last week, Nonhlanhla Mkhize, spent almost a week behind bars.

She faces charges of intimidation and defeating the ends of justice.

This relates to a multimillion-rand contract at Umlahtuze Water.

Mkhize is currently out on bail but still in her position.

She is planning to return to the KZN Premier's office on Monday.
