PIETERMARITZBURG, DBN - Lawyers for Human Rights have welcomed the reopening of the Luthuli and Mxenge inquest, saying it's essential for justice.
The inquests will begin on Monday at the High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
The NPA seeks to determine if anyone should be held responsible for the deaths of struggle stalwarts Chief Albert Luthuli and Griffiths Mxenge
Luthuli died in 1967, reportedly after being struck by a train.
Mxenge was brutally murdered in 1981.
