WATCH | The never-ending story of crime in Hanover Park

HANOVER PARK, WC - Gangsters on the Cape Flats seem to have an endless supply of guns and ammunition.

They terrorise communities in their battles over turf.

Every single day, the Saps and City of Cape Town law-enforcement officers take illegal guns off the streets. But they just get replaced.

An eNCA team went along on a raid in Hanover Park, and at least three people were shot while they were there.

There have been hundreds of shootings in the area in the past month. It's no different in Nyanga, Mannenberg, Lotus River and Lavender Hill.

The police are trying to rid the streets of illegal guns. SAPS and other law enforcers are urging communities to work with them to rid their areas of gangsters and drugs.
