WATCH: Outrage over Hani killer’s release

Anger and outrage as the Constitutional Court rules that Chris Hani’s killer, Janusz Walus, be released on parole within 10 days.

JOHANNESBURG - An emotional reaction has met the decision to parole Chris Hani’s killer.

Janusz Walus has served nearly 30 years of his life sentence for the 1993 assassination of the anti-apartheid icon outside his East Rand home.

Hani’s wife, Limpho, has lashed out at the ruling.

She’s accused the Constitutional Court of being a dictator.

In 2020, Walus was denied parole by Justice Minister Ronald Lamola.

That decision has been set aside and the department has ten days to release him.
