WATCH | Permits of rival Soweto taxi associations suspended

JOHANNESBURG - The permits of the WATA and NANDUWE taxi associations, which operate in Soweto,have been suspended.

Gauteng Transport MEC, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela made the announcement at a community briefing following recent taxi violence in the area.

According to Diale, multiple route conflicts between the two associations,
frequently result in violence, including shootings.
