WATCH | Power cuts to impact Johannesburg water supply

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg is among the most populated cities in the country there are fears that the rolling blackouts will have a dire effect on the city's water infrastructure and service delivery.

Blackouts have impacted Johannesburg's Water infrastructure and water towers in various parts of the city are affected.

Pump stations which supply water to the towers are isolated during the outages.

This means no water is supplied to the towers for the duration of the blackouts.

Joburg Water says it's monitoring affected infrastructure and is ensuring water supply is restored to customers as soon as possible.
