WATCH | Unemployed pharmacists in KZN march for jobs

PIETERMARITZBURG - Unemployed pharmacists in KwaZulu-Natal have taken to the streets to demand job placements in the public healthcare sector.

They argue that the health department is pushing them into poverty and compromising service delivery by failing to address staffing issues.

Meanwhile, health professionals and political parties have also raised concerns about the availability of medications at healthcare facilities due to lack of funds.

The situation has prompted Action SA to write to Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane demanding answers.

The department is yet to respond.
