WATCH | Western Cape's plan to ease impacts of power cuts
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape government has given the green light to shield the province’s most vulnerable and destitute from the worst effects of power cuts.
So far, R60m has been set aside for emergency packs that will include a rechargeable light, a mechanism to charge mobile devices and a cooking bag to keep food warm.
This is all part of the Western Cape’s plan to address blackouts and curb their devastating impact on businesses and communities alike.
