WATCH | The WHO declares MPOX a public health emergency

CONGO - The World Health Organization has declared the mpox outbreak in parts of the African continent as a public health emergency. 

At least 450 individuals have died from the infectious disease that was once known as monkeypox during an outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

 Currently, it has spread to several regions of eastern, central and southern Africa.
