A week of power outages in Northriding

JOHANNESBURG - After a week of outages, City Power technicians remain in Northriding trying to get to the bottom of a litany of faults.

Residents of the suburb have been experiencing an extended power outage since Sunday night. 

One resident says they have to deal with monthly power outages.

"We haven't had a week, two weeks, or even a month where we have had consistent power. It is every week," she said.

"Last week there were parts of Northriding that were without power for three days and this week there are other parts that are without power for three days but I think the issue here is not so much the outages, its the lack of consistent service delivery and lack of communication that we are receiving from our councellor."
