'We've heard very clearly' - ANC president tells EC supporters

MDANTSANE - ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa said the party has listened to communities’ concerns ahead of the elections.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Mdantsane, he said the ANC heard calls for better working conditions, action against gender-based violence, and greater support for people with disabilities.

Ramaphosa pledged the party’s commitment to addressing these issues.

" We heard very clearly what the aspirations of our people are, but we also heard the enthusiasm as well as the encouragement of our people. We've heard them repeating that they want us to work diligently to advance the lives of our people. We have listened to the workers of our country talking about, yes, the need that they want to see to improve the conditions of employment.

" It is also the ANC's ability to listen and to have deep exchanges with our people. We've also gone around Simamele, Okumkani namakosi ethu, as they too were raising many issues that concern them. We have listened to the women of our country as they too have raised issues that concern gender-based violence. We have listened to people who are disabled, and we have heard too the issues that concern them."
